Today I got to shoot some friends of mine from Carp who are expecting a little boy in June. I had a great time but whenever you're getting pictures taken it always feels sort of awkward until after an hour or two when you don't even realize the camera is there. But I think we got some great shots and it was so good to see both Tim and Jess again.

what type of camera(s) are you using?
also, what lens would you recommend for portraits that doesn't require you to back way way up? i'm finding my 55mm 1.8 to be impractical in a lot of settings. 'course I'm no pro. ;-)
